The Infrastructure, Water and Energy Group achieves a record contract value of 532 million in 2024
Madrid, 18 Febrery 2025. Lantania reaches a historic high in its project portfolio. The Infrastructure, Water and Energy Group boosts its market position by exceeding 1 billion euros of ongoing projects at the end of 2024, marking an increase of 43% from the 700 million euros recorded at the end of 2023. 47% of the company’s portfolio corresponds to water projects, 25% to infrastructure, 13% to energy, 10% to building and the remaining 5% to services.
Last year, the company closed new projects worth 532 million euros, 18% more than the previous year. For the president of the Lantania Group, Federico Ávila, “exceeding 1 billion euros in our portfolio reflects the trust that our clients and partners place in us. This achievement encourages us to look to the future with optimism, backed by important projects that will allow us to continue growing and adding value”.
The past year has been decisive in Lantania’s international expansion, with 31% of its portfolio now coming from abroad, compared to 23% in 2023. The Group is currently present in 13 markets, including Saudi Arabia and Poland. One of the company’s most important contracts in 2024 is the one signed by the Water division for the construction of a biosolids treatment complex in NEOM, Saudi Arabia, worth more than 77 million euros.
Meanwhile, Lantania’s Polish subsidiary, Balzola Polska, has secured new contracts worth 75 million euros in 2024, 46% more than in 2023. Notable among these is the contract for the construction of the new Court of Appeal building in Lodz, a project worth 25 million euros. The Warsaw-based company began operations in 2008 and has since been involved in more than 70 projects throughout Poland. Balzola Polska has been part of the Lantania Group since 2022.
The development of the Energy division has been particularly noteworthy. Lantania Energía has signed projects for nearly 200 million euros in 2024, driven mainly by growth in the transmission and distribution (T&D) area. The company has recently begun work on the evacuation infrastructures for the solar farms at the Tordesillas node (Valladolid), with two contracts totalling 60 million euros. Additionally, it has been awarded the contract for the construction of the first electrical substation at the Port of Valencia.
Moreover, in 2024 Lantania Servicios renewed the contract for the maintenance of the flight area and access roads of the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. This 14.4-million-euro contract covers the maintenance of the runway, urbanisation and access roads to the Madrid airport for a period of two years, renewable for the same period and amount.
Infrastructures continue to be the company’s foundation, with significant new contracts such as the construction of the second phase of the Valladolid Railway Complex. The project, in a joint venture with Copcisa, has an investment of 61 million euros. In addition to this, the works to upgrade the N-232 in Castellón and the remodelling of the A-4 dual carriageway interchange with the SE-20 in Seville, among others, are being carried out.
Since its founding in 2018, the Lantania Group has secured contracts with a total value worth over 2 billion euros. With a project portfolio exceeding 1 billion euros in execution and planning, the company strengthens its position to continue leading the development of sustainable and high-impact infrastructures on a global scale.
