We work to improve the world by designing, developing and executing infrastructure
For Lantania, the construction of infrastructure involves much more than the development of large engineering projects such as roads, railways or buildings; it is to make our customers’ goals our own in order to return the trust they have placed in us.
With more than 90 years’ experience, we plan, develop and carry out large infrastructure works, dual carriageways, high-speed and conventional railway lines, railway stations, urbanisation works, viaducts or tunnels, among others.
We are known for our technical solvency model in the market, developed by great professionals, along with a state-of-the-art machinery park, consisting of more than 1,200 pieces of equipment covering work areas such as earthworks, rigid and flexible road surfaces, track installation machinery, lifting machinery, tunnel machinery, etc., as well as auxiliary equipment for topographic, electrical, telecommunications and environmental measurements.
We have a highly specialised Technical Office, comprised of civil engineers, materials engineers, industrial engineers, architects and senior surveyors, all of whom have more than 15 years’ experience and an abundance of know-how in their field of activity, covering the areas of geotechnics, structural calculations, hydraulics, road surfaces, installations, BIM (Building Information Modelling), layout, topography and draughting. Within our extensive portfolio of projects, we highlight some of our projects built and managed under the BIM methodology.
Our Studies and Business Development department carries out the technical and economic analyses necessary to bid for all types of construction projects, both nationally and internationally.
Our references endorse us, in both the public and private sectors, in Spain and the rest of Europe (Baltic countries, Eastern Europe, Sweden, Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia), the Middle East (Saudi Arabia), Latin America (Chile, Peru) and North America (USA).
Roads
We build and maintain highways, roads and all types of routes.
We have extensive experience in the construction of highways, roads, viaducts, bridges, tunnels, improvement of urban mobility, etc.
Our engineers develop and build first class public works for several clients relying on our technical resources of the company and making sure to respect the company’s values such as quality, environmental care, prevention of occupational hazards, code of ethics and customer focus, which define our corporate culture.
The main road infrastructure projects recently undertaken by Lantania include: Autovía de la Plata A-66 highway: widening it to a third lane and remodelling the link roads. Section: Lugones-Matalablima (Asturias); the Lucena bypass (Córdoba); the bridge over the Genil river in Huétor-Tájar (Granada); the bus and bicycle lane in Bajo Llobregat in Viladecans (Barcelona); and the new connecting road in Plasencia (Cáceres).
In maintenance sector, which we believe is key to the sustainability of the road infrastructure, we are carrying out the contract for the maintenance and operation of the H-02 sector roads in the province of Huelva for the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda. We also participate in maintenance through concessions, such as the 111 km stretch of the A-31 dual carriageway between Bonete and Alicante.

Railway
Specialists in the whole rail value chain: platform, sleeper supply, track, electrification and stations
We participate in the whole value chain of rail infrastructure deployment with experience in platform, sleeper supply, track, electrification (overhead line and traction substations) and stations. Our machinery park has specific elements for this type of projects such as railway trucks, speeders, etc.
We highlight Typsa (Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón), a Group company specialised in the manufacture of prestressed concrete railway sleepers, in operation since 1962. Its facilities are located in Luceni (Zaragoza), where it has two large industrial buildings for manufacturing, its own concrete plant, siding rail, offices, laboratory, workshops, warehouses and a canteen. The factory is fully automated, with a carousel-type system. The company, which has a highly qualified team, supplies sleepers for the entire Railway Network of General Interest (Spain).
The acquisitions of DSV and Balzola Polska have strengthened our rail business. The former brings us experience and complements us on the track, while Balzola does so in the tramway field.
DSV Empresa Constructora y Ferroviaria, a company with more than 28 years’ experience in the railway sector, is a leading company in railway track maintenance and new track assembly works. It specialises in civil works, installations, as well as tamping, electrification and track signalling operations.
Balzola Polska started its activity in 2008 and has extensive experience in the construction of tramway infrastructure, railway and civil road works, as well as in all types of urban development works. The Warsaw-based company has carried out the construction of new tram lines in the cities of Warsaw, Lodz, Torum and Gdansk, the upgrading of the tram depot in Mokotow (Warsaw) and various street renovations in the country’s capital.
Among the main railway projects recently developed by Lantania are: the platform for the Madrid-Galicia high-speed railway line. Section: Porto-Miamán (Ourense); the El Corno Tunnel on the right track of the Madrid-Galicia high-speed railway line (Ourense); the platform of the new railway network in the Basque Country. Section: Zizúrkil-Andoain (Gipuzkoa); the remodelling of the Mérida and Badajoz stations to adapt them to high-speed rail (Badajoz); the new Albal station (Valencia); the renovation of Line 1 of Metrovalencia (Valencia); and the improvement of accessibility at the Ramón y Cajal station of the Madrid commuter train network (Madrid).
Our broad presence in the sector allows us to participate in international projects such as two works in Bulgaria: the modernisation of the Voluyak-Petarch railway and the Plovdiv railway junction, as part of the improvement of the Southeast axis of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T Network).
